Comprehensive Ministry to Youth

Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) is everything a parish community does to engage young people in the life and mission of the Church. It is a ministry for, by, with, and to young people in 8th- 12th grade. St. Catherine of Siena follows the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop’s guidelines for comprehensive youth and young adult ministries, including the document Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry.

Youth Ministry is important in the life of the Church! In this grace-filled moment, you and I are called, by the Lord, to do this important ministry. It is an exciting time to do Youth Ministry in this ‘moment of grace’, especially with the election of Pope Francis. His humility, simplicity, and example are prompting the world, especially among young people, to give the Church a ‘second look.’
